Jennifer Windham, DVM

Associate Veterinarian

Dr. Jenny Windham, DVM, grew up in a small town in south Louisiana on a farm where she and her family raised horses, beef, and dairy cattle. As a youth she successfully showed livestock through the state 4-H programs, as well as at Open and National Shows. In high school and the collegiate level she participated in Livestock Judging teams competing at local, state, and national tournaments.

During her undergraduate years Dr. Windham worked for the LSU Veterinary School Equine Health Studies Program, caring for the university’s equine herd and assisting with research and study publications in Equine Medicine. Dr. Windham graduated from LSU with a Bachelors in Animal Science with a concentration in Pre-Vet. She was accepted into the early entry program at LSU School of Veterinary Medicine in 2020. During her time in Vet school, she completed and published research on Equine Racetrack injuries for data to contribute to the National Thoroughbred Safety Alliance in 2020 and 2021, and on EHV1/4 vaccines to determine the most effective vaccine and schedule to maintain sufficient antibodies in 2022.

She worked closely with the equine and food animal departments during school, and remained active in the AAEP, AABP, and Cattlemen’s Association. In addition, she completed the Chi University Mixed Practice Acupuncture course.  She graduated in May of 2024, as valedictorian of her class, with her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine and her Certification in Mixed Animal Acupuncture Therapy. Dr. Windham has always held a passion for Large Animal Medicine, including equine, bovine, caprine, ovine, and porcine species, and is excited to give back to these animals that have given her so much.  Please join us in welcoming Dr. Windham to the Full Circle Equine Veterinary team!
